Twitter is not just a social networking site like the rest, but it can be properly termed as an information networking site. Twitter provides better promotional options as compared to the other web services, which are very often restricted to either country specific services or are open source. Many companies, including real estates, use Twitter as a medium to sell or promote their products. In fact, Twitter has proved to be beneficial for many of these companies or even individuals, by promoting their sales. One can sell anything by using Twitter as a medium, it could be anything, either a service or a product, including house.
The best way one could use
Twitter as a base to sell their home is not as easy as setting up a profile and start tweeting to buy stuff. It does involve few easy steps to reach that end. One can initially start by creating up an account with Twitter. It is good to be creative about selecting a good background and setting up a profile, in a way to attract audience. It is very important to let people know about one's identity; by using the right name, as people would identify one by this name. Uploading photo would be a good idea. Try and be real.
Next step would be to set up a blog, which should rather look like one's home and not a business place. People come to Twitter to see and read blogs and not to buy things right away. Once one starts getting followers for his/her blog, then one can invite them to buy their home. The blog should mention about the home one wishes to sell. Before creating a channel for the sale of house, it is advisable to look in for keywords in tweets, say sale, real estate, property, home etc. If one can find a related tweet in the list, it is better to lead it.
It is very important to demonstrate love and attachment for the home, one wish to sell, in the blog. Try mentioning about few memories attached to it. This could be one useful tool to attract customers. Show the passion associated with this house. It is all about speaking one's mind and relating with the people. If possible, provide a video or photos of the house, showing all the key areas.
The next step would be about adding values to one's tweets, which provides credit by everyone. It is necessary to invite and make people participate socially to your blog. Building social relationships with one's followers can only provide good opportunities to promote and sell one's house. This could be done by regular follow-ups, updates, participating and adding value. It is also suggested to follow someone, even if it is not related to one's interest but if one follows someone, then that someone follows him. It is one good way of sales promotion, i.e. by making referrals.
One can also use a
Twitter advertising service, which helps reach out many more people. Most of these ad-providers are reputable and can be safely used. This network has large follower group who can tweet about one's house for sale to their followers. This can provide a bid additional response and thus increase visibility.
Once everything mentioned above is taken care of, the sale of one's house is 100% possible by using Twitter.
