Nowadays everybody's talking about the budget tablets that have flooded the markets including Reliance 3G Tab, iBall Slide, Spice Mi 720 Tab, Lacs Magnum and so many others. Nobody wants to buy a phone as these budget tablets come more handy and offer much advanced features along the freedom of going more connective and mobile. I find the posts under budget tablets in my blog getting more viewership, especially iBall Slide and Lacs Magnum Android Tablet. However since the Reliance 3G Tab and iBall Slide Tab fall under similar category, people often wonder which to go for. So lets try out a comparison which gives you a clear idea of what is available in the both of them and what is not.
Reliance 3G Tab is currently considered as one of the most affordable and powerful tablet in Indian markets. Why wouldn't one say that as the tablet is available at just INR 12,999/- and offers latest Android OS. Moreover the Rleiance 3G Tab also features a 2 MP rear camera and VGA front camera for video calling purposes. The battery back up of Reliance 3G Tab is around 8 hours for music playback and 7 hours for video playback. So all just seems great about Reliance 3G Tab.

iBall Slide Tab on the other hand costs Rs. 13990/- and comes with powerful processor. It also features a powerful 4400 MHz battery which offers 6 hours music playback and 6 hours video playback. iBall Slide also features 8 GB in-built memory and is expandable upto 32 GB.
Reliance 3G Tab Vs. iBall Slide Tab
Lets go through the list of comparison between both the tabs:
1. When it comes to comparison in context of price Reliance 3G Tab is Rs. 1000/- cheaper than iBall Slide Tab.
2. Reliance 3G Tab comes with 1 GB free 3G data (Reliance) along with the Tab (no extra cost). However if you buy a iBall Slide you would have to shell out extra bucks for buying out a data card.
3. But Reliance 3G Tab being a SIM locked device may not allow you to use any other network services for the Tab even if you find them much cheaper and efficient than Reliance Service. You will have to stick with Reliance 3G Rental Plans at any cost. However the same does not apply to iBall Slide, as it is not a SIM locked device.This simply means that even if tomorrow you are not happy with the Reliance net service and wish to shift to BSNL, MTNL, only in your dreams! iBall Slide will allow you to use any network carrier of your choice giving you the complete freedom of using it as you like.
4. Reliance 3G comes with a 800 MHz Processor, but iBall Slide Android Tablet is powered by much more powerful 1GHz processor which means it would give efficient performance and output as compared to Reliance 3G Tab.
5. As mentioned earlier iBall Slide offers a 8GB in-built memory, however Reliance 3G Tab does not offer any in-built memory. However both the devices support expandable Micro SD Cards upto 32 GB.
6. One thing in common about both the devices is its latest Android v2.3 Gingerbread OS.
7. Reliance 3G Tab features 2 MP rear camera and VGA front camera for video calling. iBall Slide however offers only 2 MP front camera, no Rear Camera!
8. In Reliance 3G Tab expect no USB Connect! You can't plug-in in USB Drive, which means you can't save your data into the Reliance 3G Tab. Everything needs to be downloaded and more money to be shelled from the pockets for the same. However iBall Slide Tab offers USB Connect!
9. Reliance 3G Tab does not offer Video Chats on Skype or Google! I mean if you are a person who is always on the GO! how would you manage to connect with your family! iBall however allows you to connect via Skype (pre-loaded).
10. iBall Slide comparatively offers better battery life than Reliance 3G Tab.
So far if compared iBall Slide seems to shine bright, but the only con i see is the absence of rear camera in this Tab. How do one get a precious moment captured in this device. Finally when we plan to buy a Tab we look forward to get rid of all the other gadgets and wish to buy a Tab which will offer all the features within one!

All is well about iBall slide, but why doesn't they give it a rear camera! Thats important, what is the use of providing all the features but no rear camera!

ReplyDeleteWhat i think is this might be coz of the low rate they offer... now we cant expect to get everything and that too at a low price. hehe ;)
even with this amount of features they(iBall) r providing m really shocked.. and what i have in mind is that the product also must b of low quality plastic or something... :( can some1 plz check on it? i mean it shud look worth wen u have it in ur hand... :) otherwise i loved this 1... m surely thinking of getting 1.. :) and rear camera really doesnt bother me as i have dslr always with me ;) just wanna know how the product gonna b.
And finally thnx for getting this post on comparison... it really helped. :D
